It’s a day when children and adults go trick or treating, attend costume parties, carve jack-o’-lanterns, visit haunted attractions, play pranks, tell scary stories, and watch horror films with visions of scary ghosts floating in and out of space. It’s an event which has as its focus all kinds of demonic activity at its forefront. \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>The question is often asked whether or not Christians should participate in such activities.\u00a0Many churches host “alternative” fall festivals and related activities they feel are acceptable substitutes for the trick-or-treat, begging for candy in local neighborhoods, and the donning of scary costumes. Some do this by hosting activities permitting, instead, Bible character costumes and others such as Casper the acceptable, friendly ghost rather than a scary ghost.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<h4><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Holy GHOST gets a bad rap!\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<div><span>Whether or not Christians should attend a “placebo” Halloween celebration event, however, is not the focus of this article. It is, instead, taking a look at the name <em>Holy Ghost<\/em> and perhaps reviving a reverence to Him that has been lost through wrongful associations and “replacement” authors. \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>Several years ago, I attended a church planning meeting and was shocked when one of the leaders shared that in her Sunday school classes she didn’t allow the children to use the King James Bible because that Bible had the scary expression <em>Holy Ghost<\/em>, a term that she said frightened the little ones. <\/span><\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Conflicting beliefs lead many astray.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<div><span>However, the sad reality was that the Bible she was using had the noun <em>ghost<\/em> in it as do all Bibles (at least all that I have been able to research). What is missing is the <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Holy<\/strong> <\/span>Ghost. Oh how the enemy hates the HOLY Ghost.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Historical Bibles retain the name Holy Ghost.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<div><span>N<\/span><span>ot only did the translators of the King James Bible retain the NAME Holy Ghost in the New Testament, but many who went before them had the same discernment. For example, the Holy Ghost is found in:\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Wycliffe’s translation 1395, <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Tyndale’s New Testament 1525, <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Coverdale 1535, <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Bishops’ Bible 1568, <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>The Geneva Bible 1599, <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Mace N.T. 1729, <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Wesley’s N.T. 1755, and the <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>1611 King James Bible.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2\/3″][vc_column_text]<span>It wasn’t until a group of people obtained permission to create the Revised Version of 1881 that the name <em>Holy Ghost<\/em> was removed from Bibles created thereafter. Sadly, succeeding versions have followed suit; thus, absent from new version Bibles is the Holy Ghost.\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/3″][vc_single_image image=”2342″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4><span><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Looking for the missing Ghosts!<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong> <\/span><\/h4>\n<div><span>Before doing some research, I wasn’t aware that the name <em>Holy Ghost<\/em> is used ONLY in the New Testament, and, ninety times. Why 90? I’m not sure. There are many theories. Notwithstanding, there is no doubt that\u00a0the LORD has an underlying, invisible, internal structure that runs throughout the entire Bible which cannot be broken by adding to or subtracting from the Word as it has been preserved: \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"center\"><span><em> … the scripture cannot be broken. <\/em><\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"center\"><a shape=\"rect\">John 10:35<\/a><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span> Perhaps that’s why the LORD warns so many times for us not to add to or subtract\u00a0from the Words written in the Bible. <\/span><\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Fear removing the Holy Ghost.<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<div>\n<div align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" name=\"ACCOUNT.IMAGE.369\" src=\"http:\/\/files.constantcontact.com\/6ce3aea9301\/adb39908-fcb9-43e1-8f6b-5bea896e472a.png\" width=\"348\" vspace=\"5\" hspace=\"5\" height=\"226\" border=\"0\" \/><\/div>\n<p><span><strong><\/strong><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p align=\"center\"><em>And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.<\/em><br \/>\nMatthew 10:28<\/p>\n<div><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"center\"><em>… If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. <\/em><span>Revelation 22:18-20<\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"center\"><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"center\"><em>And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.<\/em><span><br \/>\nMatthew 12:32<\/span><\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"HeadingText\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>The Principle: The structure of the Bible is like a puzzle in that if you change the shape of some of the pieces, the image can never be correctly put together.<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<div class=\"HeadingText\"><span><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<table class=\"imgCaptionTable OneColumnMobile\" data-padding-converted=\"true\" width=\"421\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\" align=\"center\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td class=\" imgCaptionImg\" rowspan=\"1\" colspan=\"1\" width=\"100%\">\n<div align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" name=\"ACCOUNT.IMAGE.371\" src=\"http:\/\/files.constantcontact.com\/6ce3aea9301\/16bf1244-c7b2-4771-8b8b-2d0a73ca94dc.png\" width=\"421\" vspace=\"0\" hspace=\"0\" height=\"315\" border=\"0\" \/><\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td class=\"imgCaptionText\" rowspan=\"1\" colspan=\"1\" style=\"text-align: center;\">Altered puzzle pieces never fit.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div>\n<h4><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Historical Bibles retained the name Holy Ghost.<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<div><span>It seems that the some 50 translators of the King James Bible, the many pastors with whom they received input, and those who went before them, saw a fine-lined difference\u00a0between Holy Ghost recorded 90 times in the New Testament), Holy Spirit\/holy spirit used three times in the Old Testament and four times in the New Testament, and spirit\/Spirit recorded almost 500 times. \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>The same underlying Greek root word is used for both ghost and spirit, thus, many wrongly conclude there is no difference between the two words. \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div><span>\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" name=\"ACCOUNT.IMAGE.372\" src=\"http:\/\/files.constantcontact.com\/6ce3aea9301\/05caf0db-5f07-430c-abd0-7fefc70efe1a.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\" width=\"443\" vspace=\"5\" hspace=\"5\" height=\"250\" border=\"0\" \/><\/div>\n<p><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>However, as in all languages, words have many different meanings depending upon their <strong>contexts<\/strong>; that is, how they are used in the sentence. \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>If, for example, my topic is transportation, I have to know where and how I am traveling. If I’m going to a neighborhood store, transportation could be my bike. However, if I’m traveling from Florida to Jamaica, I could not ride my bike as there is a huge expanse of water between the two locations.\u00a0 <\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" name=\"ACCOUNT.IMAGE.374\" src=\"http:\/\/files.constantcontact.com\/6ce3aea9301\/6be05a8e-fe60-42c0-9064-78d09580801d.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\" width=\"373\" vspace=\"0\" hspace=\"0\" height=\"279\" border=\"0\" \/><span>Mode of transportation depends on context.<\/span><\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Unique, talented, scholarly men preserved underlying texts.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<div><span>The 50 King James translators, who worked on the translation over a period of seven years, were highly qualified. They had command of several languages (including historical cognate languages), were expert grammarians, and were holy men of God who collaborated together for several years within a complex, structured framework. They considered not only:<br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><span>linguistic details and <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>a complex grammatical construction, misunderstood by most today: “<em>Ye<\/em>,” “<em>Thee<\/em>,” “<em>eth<\/em> endings”<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>but they understood the importance of context within the confines of a word-for-word translation format. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span>As is apparent in their finished work, they perceived a difference between what they translated as the Holy Spirit\/spirit and what they deemed was credited to the Holy Ghost. \u00a0<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Our part is to study AND defend what has been supernaturally preserved, not to disturb the intricate underlying warp and woof threads of this masterful tapestry. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span>\u00a0<\/span><em>Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.<\/em><span><br \/>\n<\/span><span>Jude 3<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h4><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Disclaimer\u00a0<\/span> <\/strong><\/h4>\n<div>\n<p><span>This study on the Holy Ghost is not definitive nor do I have “all understanding” regarding Him. However, it is hoped that this teaching will encourage the reader to search the Scriptures on the vital topics covered in this teaching to better draw conclusions. We should all be like the noted Bereans who:<\/span><\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><span>\u00a0 <\/span><em>… searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so<\/em><span><em>.<\/em><br \/>\nActs 17:11<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<table id=\"content_LETTER.BLOCK38\" width=\"100%\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\" border=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td class=\"MainText Content\" rowspan=\"1\" colspan=\"1\" valign=\"top\" align=\"left\">\n<div>\n<div class=\"HeadingText\">\n<h4><strong><span class=\"MainText\" style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Holy<\/span><\/strong><span><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><span class=\"MainText\"> and ghost are very different words individually than are they when combined as Holy Ghost.<\/span><\/strong> \u00a0<\/span> <\/span><\/h4>\n<div><span>Most would agree if we look at the two words <em>holy<\/em> and <em>ghost<\/em> individually, different thoughts come to mind between the two words. Those images likely have quite opposite meanings. These include familiar spirits, wizards, charmers, necromancers (fortune telling, communicating with the dead, magical spells, etc.). Check a concordance to study the many Scriptures which prohibit any occult practices.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<h4><span><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>A <em>ghost<\/em> is clearly defined in the Scripture.<\/strong> \u00a0<\/span> <\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span>When we die, we “give up the ghost.” It’s at that moment that the life-giving spirit that God breathed into us at birth leaves along with our soul. They separate from the body, and the body returns to dust. A ghost has no existence after death. The souls of those who are saved go to Heaven; the souls of those who are not saved go to Hell. There is no redemption or change in our eternal state once a person “gives up the ghost”; that is, dies. Study the table below to learn the Biblical, contextual meaning of ghost from the Bible.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<img decoding=\"async\" name=\"ACCOUNT.IMAGE.377\" src=\"http:\/\/files.constantcontact.com\/6ce3aea9301\/1341973e-094e-44b3-ae2b-bb3545fde5ac.jpg\" class=\"aligncenter\" width=\"554\" vspace=\"5\" hspace=\"5\" border=\"0\" \/>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>We are three-part persons: spirit, soul, and body.<\/strong> \u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<div><span>(Review our teaching, “<a href=\"https:\/\/www.restorationofthefamily.org\/do-we-have-soul-mates\/\">Do we have soul mates<\/a>?”) Our “ghost,” the spirit and soul (the intangible part of whom we are) leaves the body when we die physically. \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>Giving up the ghost is a part of every person’s life. The Bible clearly confirms this as shown in the table above. Giving up the ghost has nothing to do with Halloween practices or man-made ghostly images. It is, instead, what happens when God’s life-giving breath that He breathed into us at physical birth leaves the physical body. \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<div><em>And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.<\/em><\/div>\n<p>Genesis 2:7<em><br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div align=\"center\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/div>\n<div align=\"center\"><em>For by him <\/em>[Jesus]<em> were all things created … and by him all things consist.<br \/>\n<\/em>Colossians 1:16-17<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>The Holy Ghost is alive. Jesus died and gave up His ghost; however, He is alive today as the person of the Holy Ghost working through the Holy Spirit (spirit) in our lives.<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<div><span><em> … because <strong>I<\/strong> <\/em>[Jesus]<em> live, ye shall live also.<br \/>\n<\/em>John 14:19\u00a0 <\/span><\/div>\n<p><span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><span>Before Jesus “gave up the ghost” He, like us who are saved, was, in His earthly flesh, filled with the Holy Ghost and was led by the spirit. He too, had a body, soul, and spirit. However, He was not lost as we were before we were saved.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0 <\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<div>\n<div>\n<div><em>And Jesus being full of the <span><strong>Holy Ghost<\/strong><\/span> returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness.<\/em><span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><span>Luke 4:1<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<h5><strong>We must not lose sight of the fact that Jesus is God and that God is manifest in many different ways (as was\/is Jesus):<\/strong><\/h5>\n<div><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"center\"><em>Thou believest that there is one God …<br \/>\n<\/em>James 2:19<em><br \/>\n<\/em><\/div>\n<div align=\"center\"><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<div align=\"center\"><em>For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.<\/em><br \/>\n1 Timothy 2:5<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<div><em><span>God<\/span> was manifest in the flesh <\/em><span> [as Jesus Christ] <\/span><span><em>, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.<\/em> <\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"center\"><span>1 Timothy 3:16<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<table id=\"content_LETTER.BLOCK41\" width=\"100%\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\" border=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td class=\"MainText Content\" rowspan=\"1\" colspan=\"1\" valign=\"top\" align=\"left\">\n<div>\n<div>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>The Holy Ghost is Holy and enables us to partake of His holiness; yet, we do not become God or the Holy Ghost!<\/strong> <\/span><\/h4>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span>The Holy Ghost is the person; the spirit represents the works; yet, they two are one and at times are difficult to discern a difference as <strong>their roles overlap<\/strong>. Even though there is a fine line between Holy Ghost and the Spirit, they are both <strong>manifestations<\/strong> of God. God did. Who did the work? The Son did. It is written:<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"center\"><span><em>For by him <\/em>[Jesus, the Son]<em> were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him.<\/em><br \/>\nColossians 1:16<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>The Scripture teaches that it was:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the person of the <span>Holy Ghost<\/span> Who impregnated Mary.<\/li>\n<li>Jesus baptizes with the <span>Holy Ghost<\/span>, and<\/li>\n<li>blasphemy of the <span>Holy Ghost<\/span> is an unforgiveable sin<\/li>\n<li>The <span>Holy Ghost<\/span> is the Comforter sent by Jesus to minister to us.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Jesus is God:<\/strong> <em>… How is it that ye do not understand?<\/em><\/span><\/h4>\n<div>Mark 8:21<\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0 <\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"center\"><em>And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh<\/em><span> [Jesus]<em>, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.<\/em><br \/>\n1 Timothy 3:16<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"center\"><em>… he that hath seen me <\/em><span>[Jesus] <em>hath seen the Father …<\/em><br \/>\nJohn 14;9<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<p><em> … I <\/em>[Jesus]<em> am in the Father, and the Father in me … the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.<br \/>\nJohn 14:10<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Yet, Jesus says<em>, “I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.”<\/em><br \/>\nJohn 14:28<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"center\"><em>And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, <span>and shall be in you<\/span>. We are now able to receive POWER and authority within our own spirit and soul: God dwelling within us THROUGH the Holy Ghost.<\/span><span>\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>It’s the same God but varying manifestations.<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<div>\n<div><span>It’s not the same <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>manifestation<\/strong> <\/span>of the Holy Spirit that we read about in the Old Testament. Amen.<\/em><\/div>\n<p><span>Matthew 28:18-20<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<div>Notice that the admonition is not to just baptize (and to be baptized) but to be empowered to <strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\">teach <\/span><\/strong>the gospel. The word <em>teach<\/em> is used twice in this passage: <span>teach<\/span> all nations; <span><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Teaching<\/span> them to observe all things<\/span>: to obey the Word of God.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<div><em>But ye shall receive power after that the <span>Holy Ghost<\/span> is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me… unto the uttermost part of the earth.<\/em><\/div>\n<p><span> Acts 1:8<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>There is but one God.<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<div><em>But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.<\/em><br \/>\n1 Corinthians 8:6<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div align=\"center\"><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>He is the GIFT from GOD to us. Receiving the <span>Holy Ghost<\/span> is receiving the Power of God from on High, but we have to choose to <span>manifest<\/span> that power to teach, witness, and live righteously through our lives.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<table id=\"content_LETTER.BLOCK44\" width=\"100%\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\" border=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td class=\"MainText Content\" rowspan=\"1\" colspan=\"1\" valign=\"top\" align=\"left\">\n<div>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>The “principle” of the Godhead being one but manifest in different ways applies to our lives.<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span>As a parent, a son, a daughter, a husband or wife, a teacher, a statesman, a coach, a friend, a pastor, a clerk, an aunt or uncle, we are the same PERSON but <strong>manifest<\/strong> in many different ways at different times in our lives. For example, as a parent, I’m concurrently also a mother and a teacher.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>GOD is ONE Spirit Who <strong>manifests<\/strong> Himself in many ways. The Holy Ghost is a <strong>manifestation<\/strong> of Jesus in the Spirit. He is not another spirit but another manifestation of the one and same Spirit of GOD.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>This is where “the rubber meets the road”!<\/strong><\/span><span><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">\u00a0<\/span> <\/span><\/h4>\n<div>\n<div><span>Many get carried away with different <strong>personal physical<\/strong> manifestations of the Holy Ghost but seem to miss the important “<span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>fruit<\/strong> <\/span>” of the indwelling of the Holy Ghost. That fruit is <\/span><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><span>(1) to witness the gospel to others, and<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span> (2) to live with discipline and obedience to the Word so that our lives glorify God. \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div><span>\u00a0<\/span><span>However, the Spirit of Truth, the Comforter, the <strong>Holy Ghost<\/strong> does not dwell IN us IF we do not keep His commands; that is, if we live unrighteously. Living righteously <strong>is not works salvation, but obedience<\/strong>. \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<div><em>Then Peter said unto them, Repent*, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.<\/em><br \/>\nActs 2:38<br \/>\n*Repentance means we turn from sin.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div align=\"center\"><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>Study carefully John 14 and 15, noting the number of times Jesus reminds us IF we love Him, we WILL keep His commandments (abide in Him); that is, we obey the Word: John 14: 15, 21, 23, 24. Study carefully John 15.<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" name=\"ACCOUNT.IMAGE.380\" src=\"http:\/\/files.constantcontact.com\/6ce3aea9301\/d9945ee7-1f9e-461c-83f8-1882ebc87829.png\" class=\"aligncenter\" width=\"463\" vspace=\"5\" hspace=\"5\" height=\"347\" border=\"0\" \/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><span>Couple this with the important message in what many call the “love chapter,” First Corinthians 13. Love therein is expressed contextually as charity; that is, it is something you give with nothing expected in return. Specifically important as the application of this teaching on the Holy Ghost to our lives are verses one and two:<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" name=\"ACCOUNT.IMAGE.381\" src=\"http:\/\/files.constantcontact.com\/6ce3aea9301\/77dc3edd-87c0-4d73-a4f0-7beac106fbcd.png\" class=\"aligncenter\" width=\"401\" vspace=\"5\" hspace=\"5\" height=\"300\" border=\"0\" \/><\/div>\n<p><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div><em>And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, <strong>I am nothing.<\/strong><\/em><\/div>\n<div align=\"center\"><span> 1 Corinthians 13:1-2<\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"center\"><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<div align=\"center\">\n<p><em>Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.<\/em><\/p>\n<div><span>John 14:23<br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div>\n<h4><span><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Study to shew thyself approved unto God.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span> <\/span><\/h4>\n<div><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div align=\"center\">Now it is time to<em><br \/>\nStudy to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.<br \/>\n2 Timothy 2:15 \u00a0<\/em><\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>This important subject,<em> the <strong>Holy Ghost<\/strong><\/em>, for most of us, remains in some ways a mystery. However, individually, we should continue to search the Scriptures for ourselves. \u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>From a concordance, look up the word <em>Holy Ghost <\/em><\/span>and proceed to study each of these Scriptures. Additionally, we urge you to study the detailed chart below that has been created from most of the Scriptures wherein the <span><strong>Holy Ghost<\/strong><\/span> has been recorded in our Bible. This two-column chart records the name <em>Holy Ghost<\/em> in the left column and some of the Scriptural references to the works of the Holy Ghost in the right column.
