THE FRIGHTENING CONSEQUENCES
Being rejected from the Marriage Supper of the Lamb (illustrated at left) is one of the realities of the frightening consequences of the warning given in Amos 8:11,12. It has to do with God’s testimony. God warns that there will be coming a day when people will not be able to find His Word. If man continues to change thousands of words with each new version (a requirement to obtain a copyright), what we will have is a Bible with the words of man instead of those inspired and written … by holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: 12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it. A Common False Teaching
People who are study from the new versions most likely are not aware of the effect of the thousands of changes made to the Bibles they are reading. For example, one of the many changes made by new version authors, and where millions of people are being deceived, are Scriptures teaching about the permanence of marriage, especially Matthew 19:9. Multitudes have entered into a “husband/wife” relationship which God says will keep them out of Heaven – adultery. Jesus and other penmen of the Bible define adultery as marrying a second spouse when that person has a living one-flesh spouse. They who commit marital adultery rely upon an erroneous text and/or false understandings to comfort them in their pursuit of a new “marriage” partner.
There are three major errors involved in the new versions in Matthew 19:9:
1. The authors of the new versions have inserted doctrinal error by incorrectly translating porneia (the underlying Greek word for fornication) as marital unfaithfulness, immorality, sexual immorality, etc. However, ALL New Testament underlying Greek texts, from which the English translation is taken, have the word porneia, which should be translated fornication (except it be for fornication). The Greek words for marital unfaithfulness, adultery, immorality, and sexual immorality are totally different from porneia. This is changing the testimony of Jesus Christ!
Think about it. What if you testified in court and someone changed the transcript of the hearing to say something totally opposite of your belief–of your testimony? And what if that wrong testimony meant you were guilty and would spend the rest of your life in jail?
2. The wrongly translated sins inserted by the new version authors (marital unfaithfulness, adultery, etc.) are misinterpreted, making those who read the text think that these words marital unfaithfulness, etc. create an escape clause for those who want to divorce/abandon a spouse. (The irony is that many who file for divorce are the ones who are committing adultery – marital unfaithfulness!) The contextually correct word (that which reflects the underlying Greek text from which the English is translated) in Matthew 19:9 is fornication which refers to those who ARE NOT married.
3. These wrongly inserted sins (marital unfaithfulness, adultery, etc.) are not listed in corollary verses (cross references) which warn that people committing these sins will not enter the kingdom of Heaven (See I Corinthians 6:19 and Galatians 5:19-21.). These are major, extremely serious omissions which should warn people that such a lifestyle permanently separates them from God – if they do not stop practicing such sin: … they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Fornication, however, is listed in both First Corinthians and Galatians 5.
Romans 7:2-3 and 1 Corinthians 7:39 both clearly record that only the physical death of one of the spouses can dissolve a one-flesh marriage. Physical death is the only thing listed in the Bible that frees a person who has entered into a valid marriage to marry someone else. It’s one man and one woman until one of them physically dies.
For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man. Relate these double warnings (know ye not, be not deceived) contextually, to those given to Adam in Genesis 2:17, where in the Hebrew language, there also is a double warning muwt, mowt.

Eternal Ramifications
When authors of new versions change fornication, in their English translations, to words which are not in their underlying Greek texts in Matthew 19:9 (marital unfaithfulness, adultery), they GREATLY change doctrine with eternal ramifications. In corollary (related cross-reference) Scriptures (I Corinthians 6:9-10, Galatians 5:19-21, etc.), which warn people who commit such sins that they will not enter the kingdom of God/Heaven, these authors do not list their “fabricated sin” from Matthew 19:9. Thus, they remove from their Bible, the penalty for the sin they insert in Matthew 19:9. Study these examples below.
NIV (NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION)
Matthew 19:9:Â “I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery.”
What is the corollary warning (cross reference) for those who practice marital unfaithfulness in this corrupted translation? There is none. Note the fabricated sin (marital unfaithfulness) is not listed with other “lost” (sinful) lifestyle patterns (those who will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven). NIV authors, along with most other authors of the new versions, also cut the words (testimony of Jesus Christ), and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery from Matthew 19:9.
I Corinthians 6:9,10: Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
Galatians 5:19-21:Â The acts of the sinful nature (should be flesh) are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
NASV (NEW AMERICAN STANDARD VERSION)
Matthew 19:9: And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.
(These authors also cut and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.)

(Immorality isn’t listed.)

(Fornication is mistranslated and adultery is cut. They add sexual to immorality in their footnote.)

Sexual immorality is not listed in cross references (corollary verses).
I Corinthians 6:9-10: Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor *adulterers … will inherit the kingdom of God.
Galatians 5:19: adultery, fornication …
*Footnote: “NU-Text omits adultery.” They translate adultery as adulterers, then tell you in their footnote that it doesn’t belong, and the sin they wrongly insert in Matthew 19:9, (sexual immorality) is not listed.
New versions’ authors also remove covenantbreakers from a list of those who are identified by Paul as having reprobate minds in Romans 1:31. Marriage is a covenant. Those who walk away from a one-flesh marriage (one man for one woman until death parts them) are covenantbreakers. This action is much more serious than most people believe it is, partially because Bibles change God’s testimony and pastors who do not teach the seriousness of this deadly sin.
