We’re excited to share with you another in our “Bible Study Series.” The information presented herein will better prepare those who complete this study for the upcoming teaching: “Jesus: From Everlasting: Do You Know Him?” It behooves all believers to review and search the Scriptures daily as did the Bereans: And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Acts 17:10-11
However, are we today busier than were the Bereans and therefore excuse ourselves from daily STUDY perhaps because we feel the issues with which we have to deal are more important and time-consuming than those of the Bereans?
There is a difference between reading the Bible and studying it. The latter is what is hoped happens with these Bible studies in that you will be encouraged to study: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15
We urge you to use a hard copy of the Bible rather than a mechanical device to help you complete the following study. The goal for our Bible Study Lessons is to encourage readers to use their Bibles and to become actively engaged in the learning process. The answers you give are only for your benefit. Please do not email them to us unless you have questions.

- When we have questions about the Bible, the only truly reliable source is the Bible. - Micah 5:2, in addition to giving us the prophesized birthplace of Jesus, also makes a statement that tells us that Jesus had no beginning: But thou, Bethlehem ________________, though thou be little among the thousands of _____________, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto _____ [God] that is to be ruler in Israel; whose __________ ___________ have been from of old, from ______________________.

- The Bible doesn’t include titles such as grandfather, great, great, great grandfather, etc. Instead, those who came before, such as David in the lineage of Jesus, were called father. David was linked to Jesus as father from the line of other men in the generation because the incarnation of Jesus (God manifest in the flesh) marked the fulfillment of the prophecy of the seed of David (2 Samuel 7:12–16). As promised, Messiah Jesus had to be of the lineage (generation) of David (related to) as shown in … the _________________ of Jesus Christ, the son of David … as recorded in Matthew 1:1-17. Romans 1:3 records: Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our LORD, which was made of the ________ of David according to the _________. This gives generational proof that Jesus, in His humanity, was a descendant of David. Notice, the Scripture calls the line of descent the generation, not a genealogy.
