WHAT WOULD YOU DO TO SAVE YOUR FAMILY? AUDIO
Joseph faced much adversity!
What would you do if your family rejected you, tried to murder you, and sold you into slavery? What if you were put in jail for many years for something you didn’t do? Would you consider forgiveness and reconciliation with those who had unfairly created such aforementioned crises in your life? These were some of the crises Joseph faced.
God has a plan for each of us which we often don’t see until after many years of hardship and emotional devastation. BUT … wait upon the LORD and watch for his working good out of adversity that you never thought would be possible. Joseph had the inner strength to say to his family members when he was reunited with them after many years: “But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to SAVE much people alive. (Genesis 50:20)
How does a person get to the point that no matter what his circumstances are that he can truly forgive and reconcile? Perhaps that’s a missing part of many of our prayers. Joseph gathered strength from the LORD that could be categorized as supernatural. And it was. It was possible because he walked close to the LORD. Joseph’s life is something we should study carefully and ask the LORD to help us to develop the kind of response to adversity exhibited by Joseph.
